Our purpose is to provide quality mental health services in Golden Bay and assist people working toward wellness and independence.

Service Description
Te Whare Mahana provides an integrated range of mental health services which include:
• a residential Dialectical Behaviour Therapy treatment programme,
• a rural mental health service which serves the whole Golden Bay Community.
• vocational training and employment support,
 

Te Whare Mahana is situated in the centre of Takaka, Golden Bay, about two hours travel from Nelson, the nearest city. The Golden Bay area has an abundance of beautiful beaches, native forest walks, long hot summer days and a variety of artisans displaying their wares.
